SERTEC LIGHTNING PROTECTION
Proven and certified technology that STOPS the formation of lightning in Land and Marine based applications
Creates a Lightning Free Zone
The CMCE Sertec device creates a lightning free protective shield around the asset, whether it be a building, vessel or open space.

Prevent lightning strikes by neutralising
the surrounding electrically charged atmosphere
The CMCE is an electric field compensator designed to prevent the formation of electrical phenomena.
By deionizing its surroundings from electrical, electromagnetic, and magnetic interference, this lightning suppressor prevents lightning formation and safeguards your most valuable assets. The CMCE deionizes ambient electrostatic charges, creating and sustaining a balanced electric environment. This technology helps prevent streamer emissions and reduces the magnetic field, effectively eliminating the potential for lightning strikes in the protected area. Consequently, the CMCE mitigates all undesirable effects of lightning currents and the associated risks, ensuring there are no electrical hazards, electromagnetic effects, or lightning surges. |
Operating PrinciplesThe CMCE Lightning Suppressor is the leading lightning protection system available, effectively preventing lightning strikes on structures both on land and at sea.
The CMCE SERTEC is a passive sensor system that utilizes multiple electric field compensators to continuously balance and deionise the effects of atmospheric phenomena, creating a protective shield within its coverage area. Its operating principle focuses on compensating and stabilizing the existing electric field in its surroundings, thereby preventing the formation of ascending tracers. This process neutralises lightning and safely directs electric charges to the ground in harmless milliamperes. As a passive electrostatic current capturing system, the CMCE: 01 Absorbs charges present in the surrounding electromagnetic field. 02 Arranges these charges internally according to their natural form. 03 Creates a controlled flow of leakage current, ranging from 50a to 350mA in fair weather and 700a to 1,800mA during storms, directed through the ground wire to the Earth. |
